WHAT HAPPENED?
The 28-year-old midfielder saw his previous deal with the Toffees expire at the end of the 2023-24 campaign. He had taken in just 13 appearances for them since moving to Merseyside in the January transfer window of 2022.

That deal saw no money paid up front, with Spurs loading the agreement with bonus-related payments. None of those targets were met, but the north London outfit would still have been due a fee if Dele can convince Everton to hand him fresh terms.
