THE BIGGER PICTURE
Chelsea have reportedly already made their third bid for the 17-year-old in the region of €35 million (£30.1m/$37.7m) with €25 million (£21.5m/$26.9m) to be paid as add-ons. The report has suggested that Bayern are set to formalize a bid soon that will be better than the Premier League club's bid but still have a lower fixed fee than the starlet's release clause of €45 million (£38.7m/$48.5m).

DID YOU KNOW?
Despite all of the interest Palmeiras boss Abel Ferreira has maintained that he wants the club to keep the 17-year-old at the club at least until 2027. The former Sporting defender turned manager has started affording Messinho more and more chances in the first team and the teenager has given the 44-year-old coach a worthy return on that trust.

WHAT NEXT FOR MESSINHO?
Regardless of which club signs the 17-year-old this summer, they will have to wait until the summer of 2025 to bring him physically to the club due to the age restriction on such transfers of players under the age of 18.
